Enigmatic author because impossible to slot into a predefined scheme, capable of a joyful research that leads him to extravagant territories such as the aesthetic outfitting of a racing BMW that participated in the 24 Hours of Daytona, John Baldessarri has often played with arbitrariness mixing science and paradox, formal rigor of language and unprecedented perspectives of non-Euclidean geometries. This work is an excellent example of this where he suggests throwing three balls in the air in order to obtain a straight line. The author always chooses the best photographs from the 36 he takes, the maximum number obtainable from a 35 mm camera roll.
