One of the characteristics of Henri Cartier-Bresson's works is that of capturing not one, but many elements, despite the formal cleanliness of the composition. Briefly, the observer is first induced to grasp the whole, in the picture here the women seated, then to dwell on the chromatic distinction of the two groups, on the presence of what divides them, finally on the two openings that define the space in a rigor of a geometric mold.
