Nel 1976 Cesare Zavattini, che nel 1956 aveva realizzato con Paul Strand quello straordinario lavoro intitolato “Un Paese”, torna sui suoi passi e affida a Gianni Berengo Gardin il compito di riprendere la sua Luzzara per sottolinearne analogie e mutamenti. Questa immagine fa parte di quel lavoro che, con il titolo “Luzzara”, vent’anni dopo uscì in un volume edito da Einaudi.
