Original painting made by Accornero in 1959, part of a series of hyper-realistic still lifes that made him one of the most famous pioneers of this new artistic movement. He has held many solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including those at the Gallerie Gussoni (1959) and Bolzani (1963 and 1966) in Milan and Walcheturm (1962) in Zurich. Eminent critics praise his work, from Orio Vergani to Enrico Piceni, from Reto Roedel to De Chirico himself. In the Domenica del Corriere, the journalist, writer and painter Dino Buzzati writes two pages about Accornero's exhibitions in 1959 and 1963. Slight abrasions on the margins and a slight dent in the upper right corner. Signed and dated on the front and signed, titled and dated (December 1959 Milan) on the back.
