Original illustration made by Pratt for the "Chine di Guerra" cycle, published for the first time in the newspaper Il Messaggero to accompany the novel "L'Ombra del Sole" by Wilbur Smith published in installments in January 1989, subsequently reprinted in the volume "Chine of Guerra" on page 51 by Lizard Edizioni in 2000. Pratt, professor at the Escuela Panamericana de Arte, in Argentina, taught students that « all drawing problems should be solved with only two chromatic values: black and white; with black and white you have to give all the elements volume, climate, perspective, light and shadow, patterns and textures, details». A letter of authenticity signed by Mrs. Patrizia Zanotti is attached.
