Original illustration made by Magnus in 1961 for his personal version of the famous "Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. At the age of only 22, the young Raviola (it was with his surname that he signed himself at that time) decided to test his already remarkable talent by creating his own version in a grotesque / goliardic style of Dickens' masterpieces, creating a real book artist's work in 1: 1 scale with hand-written lettering and illustrations that intersperse it. The work like many of that period remains unfinished and the one we have presented is the only known illustration that has not been included in the final corpus, the entire "Christmas Song" will remain unpublished until the publication by Alessandro Editore in 2008. Signed and dated.
