Straight, double-edged blade of lenticular section, first part of hexagonal section, engraved on one side with inscription "GARDES DU ROY" and, on the other side "MANUFACTURE ROY", both among floral decorations. Iron, blackened hilt, smooth double shell-guard shaping a heart, loop-guards slightly enlarged at the center. Spherical pommel. Thumb ring. Wooden grip covered with brass wire binding among ring-nuts engraved with rings. Provenance: R. Brooker collection, inventory n. S - 490.
