Round, rifled, 12 mm cal. barrel (slightly dusty bore with visible rifling), provided with foresight, club guide for the bayonet, foldaway and adjustable rear sight, featuring markings "EM & L NAGANT", Papal mark, other marks and the marks of the Liege test bench at the base, serial number "41xx". Frame with rolling-block bolt with mark of Nagant, coeval marks and serial numbers on the barrel and "BREVET REMINGTON 4305". Working mechanism. Wooden butt and fore-end, stamp "CATHOLIQUES BELGES" with date "1868" clearly visible on the right part of the butt stock. Iron mounts and ramrod.
