Straight blade of hexagonal section, with remains of floral engraving, the inscription "REAL CORPO DEL GENIO" on one side and the motto "VIVA IL RE FERDINANDO II" on the other. Brass hilt with double-valved sword-shell, the rear one twisted, the front one with crowned shield on flags surmounted with helmet. Parry quillon with lion's head. Grip with fish-skin covering and brass spiral wire binding. Earlier leather scabbard (damage, repairs and unstitched parts) with brass mounts. Signs of use and time.
