Beautiful, straight, single-and-false-edged blade, with fuller at the first part and then of lenticular section, the first part finely engraved and gilded on a blue background with trophies and floral motifs, small tang. Gilt bronze hilt with heart-shaped valve, pommel shaped as a plumed helmet, solid grip resembling the wire binding. Complete with the rare threaded sword knot and monogram of King Leopold II. Leather scabbard (signs of use and time) with gilt and engraved brass mounts.
