Wide, strongly-curved, tipped, single-and short false-edged blade, with double fuller and a triple grooved segment at the central part. Iron hilt similar to the 1855 Savoy model, with stirrup guard, langets, long cap and anatomical, checkered, ebony grip. Fine scabbard with almost flat sides, two lugs. Could be for the hussars of the Hungarian Legion, founded by exiled foreigners, mainly Magyars, who fought as Garibaldian volunteers. Some pitting. Rare.
