Straight, tipped, single-and short false-edged blade, grooved and with fuller, marked at the tang with the mark of the Royal Manufacture of Naples, marked "S" and with the date "1847". Brass hilt with guard provided with three additional loop-guards, mark "2.S.54" (II Squadron, 54 is the number of the soldier), remains of other marks on the guard.
