Straight blade of triangular section with hollow sides featuring remains of blueing and engraved with small gilded racemes and trophies. At the base marked "S.H." Brass hilt with remains of gilding. Elegant asymmetrical shell-guard decorated with floral motifs in relief on a granulated background. Guard with Empire-style decoration, pommel shaped as a lion's head. Mother-of-pearl grip scales with crossbars . Earlier leather scabbard with signs of use and time, apparently a single repair on the bottom. Brass mounts with remains of gilding. The button of the cap with monogram "J" (maybe for Joachim Murat). Most probably a small sword from the Murattian period.
