Slightly curved blade, with broad fuller doubling towards the weak, engraved with racemes for half its length, trophies and Savoy's emblems. Tang with marking of a Solingen manufacture. Hilt consisting of three wide iron loop-guards, ebony grip, partially checkered cap marked "L'8° BATT. DELL'8° ARTIGLIERIA AL LORO COMANDANTE". Remains of nickel plating. Iron scabbard with two lugs.
