Graduated in painting at the Urbino Academy, Caimmi alternates his activity as an illustrator with an artistic one, exhibiting drawings, illustrations and ceramic works; he obtained important recognitions, such as the Andrea Pazienza award and the selection at the Bologna Illustrator Exhibition of Children's Books, in 1998 and 1999.
