Original illustration made by Costantini for the volume "Le città del ferro", published by Italsider in 1967. An internationally renowned painter and illustrator, Costantini has a completely personal and autonomous path: self-taught, the artist has never hidden his intolerance for the world of art and the impossibility of recognizing oneself in a defined artistic movement. From the beginning, the very adherence to figuration is belied by the always unsettling perspectives and irregular proportions. The black line that outlines people and architecture - sometimes thick, sometimes just a thin grid that outlines the shadows - accompanies all of his production and has become one of the unmistakable characteristics of his artworks.
