Daily comic strip made by Patterson during the 30s for "Sob Sister". The term "sob sister" was in use in the United States in the early 20th century to indicate reporters (usually women) who specialized in newspaper articles (often called "sob stories") focusing on the human aspect using sentimental language. In this fascinating strip we see the reporter Dolly Dare struggling with an investigation in a bad neighborhood. Small lack in the upper left corner. Signed.
