Round, smoothbore barrel with rib provided with foresight, 17 mm cal at the nozzle; dorsal tang engraved with an effigy of a hunter. The barrels finishing possibly refreshed. Long backwards spring locks, marked ‘FURIOSA’ and finely engraved with floral and hunting motifs, signed ‘Gaetano Pancaldi’ inside the plates. Wooden butt and fore-end made of fine briarwood. Iron trigger guard engraved with a trophy and signed ‘Gaetano Pancaldi’ at the base. Under the barrel is a shield with the monogram ‘GM’. Locks and mounts with some pitting. Metal-tipped, wooden ramrod with metal cartridge extractor; the barrel bracket signed ‘Pancaldi’.
