Forward spring lock marked "REMINGTON'S HERKIMER N.Y." and "US 1853" (date) at the tang. Working mechanism. Long walnut stock (small restoration near the lock). Brass mounts. Large patchbox on the right side of the butt stock. Brass-tipped iron ramrod.
