length 70 cm.
Straight, double-edged blade (several parts with small pitting and areas damaged by rust), the first part with remains of engraved gilded floral motifs. Fine bronze hilt, the centre of crossguard with langets decorated with a nike; straight, faceted quillons decorated with spirals in bas-relief, the ends shaped as a lion's head. Pommel shaped as a closed helmet. Mother-of-pearl grip scales (missing part on the back one) decorated with longitudinal grooves. Beautiful, wooden scabbard covered in mother-of-pearl and with brass mounts, cap with an old-fashioned warrior, the central band with an image of Hercules, the two openings with laurel wreaths on a mother-of-pearl background, the tip with floral motifs. The back side decorated with floral motifs, cap with monogram "FP". On the right border of the scabbard, the mark "Fatou Rue du Bac in Paris". Two fixed suspension rings. Pierced knuckle guard.
