Blade (Nagasa of 39.6 cm.) shinogi zukuri, with non-visible hamon and hada. Nakago mumei with a mekugi-ana. Double copper habaki. Koshirae with iron tsuba richly pierced and with a cord-carved border; beautiful set of fuchi and kashira with insects and floral decorations in various metals on a gilded and granulated ground; shakudo menuki with butterflies (partially gilded); leather tsuka-ito. Simple black wooden saya with blackened copper kozuka decorated in ke-bori. Early Shinto period, early 1600s.
