Made of iron, of nade-kaku-gata shape for a katana. With a depiction of a nana-sen (western sailing ship) and with partially gold-inlaid decorations. On one side seppe-dai, on the rar part of tsuba is a rare depiction of a kakure Kirishitan cross (as in the Edo period Christianity was banned as a religion in part of Japan, and in the seppa-dai side the mark is more hidden). Kept in a kiri-box.
