Smooth, six-shot cylinder with remains of patent markings (years 1855, 1859, 1860). Remains of original browning. On left side the dedication "Presented to John McKay by friends in the U.S. Armory Springfield Mass. Best wishes. 25th 1862". Opening with upward tilt. Spur trigger. Serial number "61xx", right grip with matching serial number inside. Walnut grip scales. Working mechanism.
