Monumental, gilded-bronze hilt, the quillon provided with langets and two valves finely decorated with trophies in bas-relief on a granulated background; wide loop-guard decorated with palmettes; pommel decorated en suite with the loop-guard, long back of the cap decorated with trophies. Wooden grip with leather covering featuring brass wire binding, three convex, brass rivets on each side. Leather-covered wooden scabbard (missing parts) with three gilded-brass mounts majestically engraved with trophies, rocaille and grooves. Two large suspension rings, iron drag. An exceptionally rare and beautiful weapon, of this quality and in these dimensions, is extremely uncommon.
