Thick, rounded block covering the tang, from which a webbed and buttoned parry loop-guard and the loop-guard start, the loop-guard featuring a protective curl extending towards the butt-plate instead of the arms of the hilt. The guard slightly enlarged in the centre. Spheroid pommel flattened and buttoned. Grip with iron straps and wire binding. Thin Moor's heads. Leather scabbard (of restoration) with probably earlier iron mounts.
