length 136 cm.
Smoothbore, 16.3 mm cal. barrel of octagonal section (probably of earlier workmanship), fully carved and engraved with a three-stage motif repeating over the entire length, the first consisting of longitudinal fullers, followed by an ‘X’ design (swallowtailed) and finally semi-anthropomorphic figures between lozenges, part of the carvings and engravings embellished with silver-inlays (missing parts); elliptical metal and silver foresight, nozzle with slightly visible moulded muzzle. Roman-style battery with slightly rounded lock plate, engraved with a bell behind the hammer, borders outlined and engraved with notch decorations, internally signed "A: Angeli" the lock plate perimeter within a brass toothed border (small missing parts). Wooden half stock (cracked and small damaged parts), butt sculpted with two fullers. Smooth brass mounts, interesting horn inserts at the counterplate, shield and butt-plate tang. Horn mouthpiece. Iron ramrod, cartridge extractor worked with an arrow.
