Rifled barrels (clean bore, some very small pittings, clearly visible rifling), octagonal, browned, 12.3 mm cal. barrels signed in gold (small missing parts) “F.NI PAR GASTINNE RENETTE A PARIS,” finely engraved with spirals at the base; precision front sight. Tangs engraved en suite and provided with rear sight. Fine forward spring locks, flat lock plates totally engraved with bird, bloodhound, spirals and floral motifs, cock also fully engraved; signed in gold “F.NI P.R GASTINNE RENETTE A PARIS; the tangs rebated. Sculpted wooden three-quarter stock, grooved butts with racemes, the latter decoration also found at the fore-end caps. Steel mounts engraved en suite to the locks, trigger guards with finger supports. The triggers are very sensitive even if they do not have set triggers. In their original wooden box (small defects), the lid with monogram “PRI”; the interior lined with brown velvet; complete with all tools including a small powder flask, bullet molds, a screwdriver, a wooden hammer, ramrods and the key for the lock. Good workmanship.
