Visible rifling, bore needs cleaning, with several encrustments. The percussion base of type Mod. 1861. Lock plate dated "1863", featuring an eagle mark and contract inscription "U.S. TRENTON". Working mechanism. Wooden full stock with two military inspection stamps and stamping "A.M. BURT". Iron mounts, "U" marked bands. Butt plate marked "US".
