Clean bore, visible rifling, slight pitting and signs of use. Folding bolt, to the back the patent marks of 1861-1862, featuring the serial number "10xx". Forward spring lock marked "JOSLYN FIRE ARMS C.o STONINGTON CONN". Working mechanism. Walnut half stock with military inspection stamp on the left side near the bolt. Iron counterplate with sling swivel. Brass mounts. External metal surface in good condition.
