7-1/2", octagonal, 36 cal. barrel, with conical brass foresight, featuring back mark “ADDRESS SAM.L COLT NEW YORK CITY”. Clean bore with visible rifling, with some encrustments to be removed. Six-shot cylinder, with remains of Texas-Mexico naval battle scene, still legible "COLT'S PATENT", serial number and "K" mark. Working mechanism. Frame marked "COLTS PATENT" and "U.S.". Serial number "50xxx". Brass gripstraps, with remains of "K" marks. Some pitting but in quite good condition. Smooth, wooden grip, with light missing part featuring traces of military marks on both sides. Matching serial number on the barrel, cartridge rammer (partial), barrel wedge (partial), cylinder, pin (partial), frame and gripstraps.
