Beautiful, octagonal, 11 mm cal. barrel of fine damask with clean bore and clearly visible rifling, engraved at the base and marked "1" in silver, the ends with silver frames; with foresight. Long tang engraved with racemes and with gilt shield and variable rear sight. Backward spring lock with counterplate of the same size, the main one marked "SCHREIBER", the other "IN GRATZ", both finely engraved with floral motifs and herringbone borders. Elegant piston counterplate with symmetry motifs. Half stock of briarwood sculpted with a monster's head at the fore-end cap with grooved butt. Iron mounts decorated en suite. Trigger guard with finger support. Set trigger. A gun of a cased pair, so without ramrod.
