Octagonal, rifled, 11.5 mm cal barrel (visible rifling, bore with fouling), with gold and slightly embossed signature ‘Gastinne Renette Arq.r De l'Empereur a Paris’ at the center, beautiful floral engravings at the base and at the nozzle, precision sight. Tang engraved en suite and provided with rear sight. Forward spring-loaded lock signed ‘Gastinne Renette’, plate fully engraved with floral motifs, lowered tang. Beautiful dark wooden stock carved with racemes and scrolls at the fore-end cap and at the butt. Steel mounts engraved en suite, trigger guard with finger rest, butt plate with blackened button. In their original wooden case (various defects), with monogram ‘ACD?’ outside, under ducal crown; the inside lined in green velvet (worn areas) featuring the gold stamping ‘GASTINNE RENETTE a PARIS’ on the inside of the lid; complete with all tools and a powder flask; on the outside a leather handle; missing key.
