Octagonal, 8", 44 cal. barrel, rifled; some signs of use inside, visible rifling, clean bore. Marked at the base "B. F. JOSLYN / PATD. MAY 4th, 1858". Five-shot cylinder. Working mechanism. Frame with "A" mark at the bottom. Iron trigger guard with remains of probably earlier finishing. Wooden grip scales with checkered segment in the centre. Serial number "13xx" on the barrel, trigger guard and grip. Cock and cartridge rammer lever with refreshed browning? Mainly well preserved surfaces, with some pitting.
