Made of heavy boiled leather, round with strongly raised centre and roped borders; very rich silver mounts (small missing parts) partially engraved with floral and geometric motifs, the centre surrounded by crosses and studs, with birds' heads and bands on the border stopped by three rivets, on one side a silver bandeau engraved in the centre and dated "4 April MCMXX", names of fifteen officers of an Italian regiment on the sides (of the bandeau). Provided with a large gripping ring and with an officer's roper. Rare with these decorations and inscriptions.
