Hemispherical, iron skull worked in two-piece, featuring deep grooves with ray patterns alternating with twisted bands and double lines; at the top a small bud-shaped cusp on a star-shaped base. Wide and deep, slightly sloping brim, the margin with row of rivets and hemmed and twisted border. Missing nosepiece and cheekpieces. Engraved plume-holder. The back with five wide nape-guard plates decorated with rivets and double lines; the border en suite with the brim. Inside remains of the leather strings that held the cheek-pieces. Very rare.
