Octagonal, 3-1/2', rifled, 36 cal. barrel (heavy pitting inside), with a small foresight, featuring a three-line mark, patent of 1858 and 1863, and inscription “NEW MODEL” at the back. Five-shot cylinder. Working mechanism. Brass trigger guard. Signs of use and time and some pitting, in patina, needs cleaning. Frame with crack at the cartridge rammer pin. Serial number "11xxx" on the barrel (the last digit not clearly legible, probably matching) and on the grip. Walnut grip scales.
