Wide, iron head with crescent convex-edged axe, strongly tapered at the base and square-mouthed hammer. Cylindrical, wooden shaft enlarged at the head (a brass nail inside the eye of the axe to hold the iron). At the top a brass cap, at the bottom a similar hilt but with a longer ring nut. The surface of the wood with remains of black finishing.
