Large tang with double round hole featuring a bird's head inside, the rest finely carved with floral motifs, oval fuller for the thumb at the rear part. Iron hilt with large front knuckle-guard richly pierced and carved with floral motifs, the border raised and folded inwards and engraved with floral motifs; quillon with wide quillons decorated with coils. Disc-shaped pommel finely carved and pierced with floral motifs. Wooden grip covered with wire binding probably of a later period.
