The top with a mid-height comb with twisted border (small old restoration), the sloping, pointed and ribbed brim with a hemmed and twisted margin (the rear tip restored). The entire surface finely engraved with bands and medallions featuring characters, complete armour and pieces of armour, cold weapons, mythological animals and florals on a dark granulated ground. Missing plume-holder and rivets.
