Smoothbore, round, 12 cal barrels (small signs of use and some pitting inside), made of damask (a couple of slight bumps outside), provided with rib featuring white metal foresight and signed "GALAND GUN MAKER PARIS LIEGE & BIRMINGHAM". A small decoration engraved with racemes at the breech. Mark of the Birmingham test bench on the lower part. Remains of antique browning. Iron receiver, marked "W&S", with patent mark and other marks. Featuring fine raceme engraving. Forward spring locks engraved en suite, both signed "GALAND", with traces of browning. Cocks with two snaps. Working mechanism. Walnut butt and fore-end with checkered segments. Mounts engraved en suite. Key with opening lever in front of trigger guard. It deserves a proper restoration.
