Imp.le de Chatellerault 8bre 18...3" (unfortunately the remains not legible due to pitting). Pitting mainly at the tip. Brass hilt with four loop-guards with remains of numbering and two marks, one not clearly legible, one "B". Leather grip (of a later time?) with copper wire binding. Iron scabbard with two lugs with mark "B". One of the most emblematic sabres of the Grande Armée.
