Straight, browned, single-and-false-edged blade, with fuller for half of its length, engraved with brass-inlaid trophies and floral motifs; tang. Brass hilt, shell-guard decorated in bas-relief with an eagle surmounted by the inscription "LIBERTE ORDRE PUBLIC", fasces on the sides, trophies and the inscription "FRANCE"; all on a granulated background. Guards with lion. Mother-of-pearl grip scales, the side elements finely worked with geometric motifs. Pommel blending elegantly with the guard, worked in drone. Without scabbard.
