Wide and strong curved blade, with fuller for a good part of its length, marked on the back "24. 695". Iron hilt with stirrup guard and langets. The quillon marked "8.L.U.4.25." (with a probably German mark next to it) and "695 S 7", in the centre "R.A.M.3.57." (Reserve Artillerie Munitionskolonne?). Grip with long cap and leather cover. Iron scabbard with two lugs, also marked "R.A.M.3.57." and also "8.L.U.4.25." (deleted) and on the back "3.B.4.L.R.N:24". The drag with remains of a crowned mark and traces of other marking.
