SPRINGER VORM NOWOTNY IN WIEN", rear sight and foresight; long tang engraved with deer and floral motifs, with foldaway peep sight and small, oval, silver shield. Backward spring locks signed "SPRINGER" and "IN WIEN", finely engraved with hunting and floral motifs. Butt (abrasions, restoration around the tang) and fore-end made of wood with checkered grip and iron mounts decorated en suite. Lever marked in gold "DIE BRIGADEEQUITATION ZU UDINE 1864/65 IHREM COMANDANTEN". Serial number "23xx". Triggers with set trigger.
