Single-edged blade made of non-ferrous metal (probably gilded silver), marked 'P.S & BRO CEYLON' preceded by another mark (a semicircle with the effigy of an animal inside, probably the National Emblem Lion). Solid silver hilt. Langets carved as palmettes, small arms of the hilt ending in dragon's heads (Makara?) featuring the base decorated with floral motifs. Short parry quillon carved en suite with the arms of the hilt; the quillon is identical to the parry quillon at the first part, but the loop guard comes out from the dragon's jaws; the loop guard is counter-curved and richly carved and ending in another dragon's head, with jaws wide open and the tongue sticking out. The handle is tapering downwards, carved with floral motifs and ending in a large pommel shaped as a dragon's head featuring red stone eyes; with the jaws wide open and sharp teeth from which the tongue comes out. Silver scabbard worked in bas-relief en suite, featuring very well executed floral motifs, the chape finely worked with Makara's head. The silver parts are lightly browned and the scabbard has a small bump. The inner sheath of the scabbard is made of wood. Four suspension loops.
