Umbria
length 24 cm.
Smoothbore, two-stage barrel. The first half of octagonal section with longitudinal ribs at the corners and a removed mark on the back, rings at the girdle, then circular at the second part, 11.5 mm cal. at the nozzle. The tangs are engraved with leaves. Flintlocks with slightly rounded lock plates, engraved with racemes, featuring a mask-like relief at the tang as well as at the head of the cock's head. The batterie is counter-curved and carved with grotesques at the base. Working mechanisms with single snap, with typical sliding pan covers. Inside the lock plates there is the signature and date "Bramanti 1752". Butts made entirely of briarwood with carvings in the front segment (small restorations, especially on a pistol fore-end). Brass mounts. Butt-plates with engraved and carved floral motifs and central iron mask. Trigger guard with grotesques on a granulated background and tangs with carved leaves. Old collection numbers marked in red on the wood. Brass- and horn-tipped, wooden ramrods. Iron cartridge extractors. Crowned shields on the back.
