Large, single-and-false-edged, curved blade with wide central fuller, with remains of gilt engravings on a blue background at the base, with royal monogram "GR" under crown, decorated with trophies and floral motifs on one side, and remains of the royal coat of arms and motto "DIEU MON DROIT"; not clearly legible gunsmith's signature. Steel one-quillon hilt with langets, long cap and smooth ring nut, grip covered with fish-skin and wire binding; complete with scabbard with two suspension rings.
