Specialist Notes
The Fiat 128 debuted in 1969, to replace the 1100. The first production Fiat with front-wheel drive, it was designed by Ing. Dante Giacosa, with sedan bodywork. At its debut it was only available with the 1116 cm3 4-cylinder with 55 hp. Giannini was a well-known Roman manufacturer who developed standard cars and sold conversion kits. He created a small series based on 128 starting in 1970. Our car, chassis 0346580, was probably exhibited at the Salone di Torino 1970 in the Giannini stand. It is one of the first 128 developed by the Roman builder. It was registered on 12 November 1970 in Trieste and remained with its first owner until 2014, when it was purchased by the previous owner. The car has undergone a total restoration and is in perfect condition with its bodywork, mechanics and interior. It retains the first registration plate and the original log book.
