Specialist Notes
Influential work by Pietro Verri (1728-1797), an Italian economist, administrator and philosopher, first published in Livorno in 1771, which had several editions in the first year and was translated into French, German, Dutch and, more recently, English. Adam Smith is known to have had a copy in his library.
