The illustrations are by Daubigny, Meissonier, Trimolet, Steinheil, G. Staal, Emy, Boilly, de Beaumont, etc. and the texts by Desaugiers, Fabre d'Eglantine, Béranger, Chénier, Florian, Sedaine, Constance de Salm, Vadé, etc. set to music by various composers, including Grétry, JJ Rousseau, Méhul and Boieldieu.
